Recently in India, Aaron Li-Hill (interviewed) painted a wall in New Delhi entitled Nature’s Arch and Visions of Altered Landscapes. Created in the Lodhi Arts District, the mural from the Canadian artist speaks to the issues of species extinction and contemplating climate change. With the support of St+art India and Canada in India, Li-Hill posits – “In a world that is losing the grip on its biodiversity how do we quantify something so large in scope? It’s hard to feel empowered when issues feel so grand. I’m not here to say I have an answer but sometimes the smallest actions can ripple out. Here is to a hopeful future, one not just through our human-centric vision.
