March 16th will mark the US solo debut of Oli Epp with a showing with Richard Heller Gallery in Los Angeles entitled Contactless. The new body of work is so named because of the London-based artist’s act of painting (use of airborne paint and limited touch), but also speaks to the modern world’s detachment from social contact as we become more dependent on technology to serve our needs. Epp’s imagery looks to the darker side of everyday life, with recognizable brands of consumerism ever present, and a dose of sharp humor.
