British painter Carl Cashman opened his debut solo show Every Time I close My Eyes, All I See Is This at Breeze Block Gallery in Portland, OR (previewed) on August 1st. The show was a massive success for the young artist, and out of 42 pieces he prepared for this show, only one is left unsold at the moment of writing this article. His strongest body of work so far was obviously working well with a much wider audience besides local art lovers, because the day after the opening only 7 pieces were left unsold. The opening night was packed as well, with a couple of familiar faces from the art world being present; enjoying the works and chatting with Carl. Varying in sizes, concepts and colors, but always true to his Neometry style, his works gained interest far and wide, with his pieces going to some serious collections. Carl is very excited about his successful debut, but is already home wrapping up some unfinished projects, and heading for a three weeks working vacation to Croatia where he is gonna to work on the decor for a local music festival.
