With this year’s Video Music Awards from MTV only several days away, installation has already started for the event. As mentioned when news first broke of KAWS’ involvement with the design of the special 30th installment of the award show, held in Brooklyn for the first time, there was going to be a a 60-foot Moonman (this year’s prize also remixed with the Brooklyn-based artist’s design) on stage, his tallest Companion ever. As you can see from the photo above, this impressive piece is already in place at the Barclays Center. Make sure you tune in when MTV VMAs airs Sunday, Aug. 25, at 9 p.m. ET.
