Last time we were with Pharrell & Galerie Emmanuel Perrotin, it was at Art Basel Miami. Over a half year later, they reveal this secret project at Art Basel Switzerland. Check this amazing collaboration between Takashi Murakami, Pharrell Williams and Jacob & Co – a mind blowing sculpture entitled “The Simple Things.” Think Superflat meets hip hop and Metroid. Shepard Fairey Helps Restore Italy with SMS Venice

It appears Swoon wasn’t the only artist in Venice recently.  Shepard Fairey and his boys were also spotted spending a few weeks to “restore Venice.” The purpose of their visit wasn’t to vacation in the grand canals of Venice, but to create works for the SMS Venice Foundation. The works were donated by Shepard to promote the preservation of artistic and architectural heritage of the historic city of Venice. More after the jump.

Update: Swoon – “The Swimming Cities of Serenissima”

Last time we interviewed Swoon, she was getting ready to set sail on her latest journey (The Swimming Cities of Serenissima) to Venice with her hand crafted fleet of ships. Thanks to our boys at Vandalog, we caught up with Swoon just as her mini-armada arrived for the Bienalle in Venice.  Here are some pics of Swoon and her crew as they docked in in the city of canals. Benefit: Camille Rose Garcia “Lil Elorphant” Print

In case you missed their first print with Mark Ryden, Roq La Rue just announced a second charitable print they did with Camille Rose Garcia. Again this is to raise money for David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust so every penny of this amazing print is going towards this great charity which helps endangered elephants and rhinos in Africa. Openings: Charming Baker “The Meaning of Everything” London Exhibition

Last night was the preview opening of Charming Baker’s latest pop-up show “The Meaning of Everything” in London (previewed). The building was filled with excitement as Charming exhibited his latest body of work which showcases his mastery of abstract environments, loose strokes and detailed backgrounds with creative textures. We are excited to see Charming continue to take his talents and progress to another level. Teaser: Hush @ Scope Art Fair – Basel Week Switzerland

Hush (interviewed) is set to show in Europe with a stop in Switzerland. He’s got some new works and it’ll premier with Opus Art during next week’s Scope Art Fair. The fair runs from June 8th-14th and will be one of the biggest fairs during Basel Week Switzerland. Following successful showings at the Carmichael Gallery and FIFTY24SF, it’s good to see Hush continue to showcase his talents around the globe.
