Last night, AM had the opportunity to attend a very special event held by Bonhams LA. A unique panel of speakers from different corners of the Urban art genre gathered to discuss the state of the Urban art market and the economics/dynamics of today’s art marketplace. Last night KAWS had a very special opening reception to kickoff his new exhibition at Gering & LÃ³pez Gallery in New York. This marks his highly anticipated return to the New York fine art scene. On November 6th, Greg “Craola” Simkins will open the second and final part of his bi-coastal show at Gallery 1988 in LA. On Wednesday Nov. 5th, Bonhams (Los Angeles) will be holding a very special panel to discuss the Contemporary Urban art market. With the DJ spinning and the hipsters of Williamsburg crowded about on Friday night, Ad Hoc Art opened their new show “In Language of Angels”. The six artist show was a nice compliment to the diverse Brooklyn crowd. We have confirmed that the new Obama â€VOTEâ€œ image which Shepard Fairey and AM premiered in DC will indeed be made into an official print to be sold on Barack Obamaâ€™s website! It should drop in the weeks prior to the election, so keep your eyes on the site.
