Tomorrow (February 18th) in Durham, North Carolina, the Nasher Museum of Art will be opening A Material Legacy, a group exhibition featuring selections from the collection of Nancy Nasher and David Haemisegger. Following up on his recent Fall show in Los Angeles and Winter show in New York, Ryan McGinley will be opening a more comprehensive exhibition tomorrow (February 18th) in Italy. Upcoming: “Winter Invitational” @ Jonathan LeVine Gallery

On February 20th, a group show including Alex Gardner, Ashley Wood, Ben Sack, DALeast, Fulvio di Piazza, Jamie Adams, Jansson Stegner, João Ruas, Kevin Peterson, Lawrence Berzon, Mear One, Sam Wolfe Connolly and Soey Milk (seen above) will open at Jonathan LeVine Gallery (529 West 20th Street). The diverse list of artists are part of the gallery’s annual Winter Invitational and may portend future collaborations.

This Saturday night (February 20th), Conlusions from Rime (otherwise know as Jersey Joe) will be opening at Jonathan LeVine Gallery at their 529 West 20th Street location in New York. Upcoming: Jen Stark Pots @ Rob Pruitt Flea Market

Tomorrow (February 14th) from noon-5pm, Jen Stark will be selling some customized pots at the Rob Pruitt Flea Market. The market event from Pruitt has had many iterations in the past with the latest being Sunday in Downtown LA (1019 E 4th Place). Along with other artists friends, Stark will be peddling her wares – some of her iconic colorful and psychedelic patterns painted on plant holders. Discuss Jen Stark here.

POW! WOW! Hawaii ’16 / Streets: In Progress

Starting this week, artists have been hard at work painting murals for this year’s POW! WOW! Hawaii. Beautifying the streets of Kaka’ako in Oahu with their imagery, the participants get to enjoy the tropical weather and throngs of fans as they leave their mark at the annual event. Streets: Aryz (Bangkok)

Following up on the new murals we shared with you last week from ROA & Nychos, which were painted for the BUKRUK Urban Arts Festival in Thailand, we now have images of Aryz’s contribution. For this latest piece, the Spanish artist chose for his inspiration something that can often be seen on the streets of Bangkok – the bicycle.
