After news broke earlier this year that David Choe’s (featured) Facebook stock had made him a very rich man, he was last seen getting interviewed by Howard Stern and Barbara Walters. Streets: Megx – “Lego Bridge” (Germany)

Giving into childhood nostalgia, Megx (Martin Heuwold) has painted an old train overpass in Germany to resemble LEGO blocks. The whimsical painted installation on the bridge in Wuppertal, which has now been converted into a bicycle and pedestrian path, took the street artist nearly four weeks to complete. The result is certainly better, or at least more interesting, than before – don’t you agree? Via Designboom.

For our newest Art Focus feature, we turn our attention to the sculptures of Korean artist Hyungkoo Lee. His Homo Animatus series of works feature skeletal representations of familiar cartoon characters created out of resin, aluminum sticks, stainless steel wires, springs, and oil paint. Last week, the Black Rat Projects opened a show curated by Corey Helford Gallery entitled Letters From America. The group exhibition included American artists SABER, RISK, Ron English, and TrustoCorp taking advantage of the July 4th holiday (US Independence Day) to introduce London art lovers to work from across the pond that they may not have seen in person before.
