Releases: James Jean – “Wave Skull” Plate & Print

Over the weekend, This Is A Limited Edition released a new collaboration entitled Wave Skull with James Jean (interviewed) featuring a collectors dinner plate & print combo. Each piece is produced in fine bone china with real gold embellishments and comes hand-signed, just like the print. The sets come in an edition of 333 and costs £99.00. For the Autumn/Winter 2015 season, Max Mara has collaborated with artist Maya Hayuk on three different styles of sunglasses featuring a pattern she has dubbed Optiprism. The multicolored rainbow graphics utilized for this project mirror the works from the New York-based artist that fit well both in the gallery as well as on the streets. Basel Week Miami ’15 / Releases: Andy Warhol // The Skateroom Decks

On December 2nd, The Skateroom is launching their new collaboration with the Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts. Along with a special event (RSVP required) and pop-op installation that night at the Delano Hotel in South Beach as part of Basel Week Miami, the series of new skatedecks featuring Warhol’s iconic imagery will be made available online. Through the sales, the company hopes to support NGO Skateistan and their amazing work with children across Afghanistan, Cambodia and South Africa. Discuss Basel Week Miami here. Baby Tattooville ’15: Secret Store

Always one of the things attendees look forward to, Baby Tattooville’s Secret Store opened last night at 9pm sharp. Prints, originals, publications, and other art products from this year’s participating artists (Anthony Ausgang, Sas Christian, Olivia De Berardinis, Ron English, Camille Rose Garcia, Bosko Hrnjak, Marion Peck, KRK Ryden, Mark Ryden, and Isabel Samaras) were made available to each customer in the order of their specific numbers, with the people with most seniority having first dibs on purchases. Releases: Mark Jenkins – “Baby” Limited Editions

In association with the new solo from Mark Jenkins (interviewed) that just opened at the Fabien Castanier Gallery in Los Angeles (covered), the artist has released some limited editions through Freeway Editions. The Baby tape sculptures come in four different colors and are produced in a run of 10 each and is something every fan of the American street artist recognizes as the medium that is his original claim to fame. HUF recently released a skate deck featuring the iconic work of Bay Area legend Barry McGee, sold-out on their website but still available here. The 7-ply skateboard measures 31″ x 9″ and features one of the McGee’s faces on the top. American singer-songwriter, rapper, record producer, and fashion designer Pharrell Williams once again has collaborated with adidas Originals on a soon to be released collection with the Supershell. Williams teamed up with Todd “REAS” James, Mr., architect Zaha Hadid, and photographer Cass Bird on a series of sneakers that features a different graphic or sculpt to the shelltoe. Six were designed by Williams himself which in total comprised the 10 different designs, which will be offered in black or white colorways starting next month. Via Hypebeast.

It’s summertime and anticipation is growing for the next Hennessy VS cognac bottle with this year being the 250th anniversary for the world’s largest and most storied cognac maker.
