Releases: Mark Ryden – “Daisy” Brooch

For those that missed Mark Ryden’s magnificent recent Los Angeles showing (covered) at Kohn Gallery, here’s your chance to own a piece of the action. This new release from Porterhouse features his Daisy drawing from The Gay 90s: West, placed on a brooch. Priced at $99 and sized at 2″ x 1-1/2″ x 3/8″, the memento comes in a black velvet pouch and with a certificate of authenticity. If interested, head over here to add it to your collection. A few months after taking part in POW WOW Hawaii (covered) and putting on a solo show during Armory week in NYC (covered), Know Hope has finished another interesting project during his residency at Mission To Art in Turn, Italy. Known for his versatility with different techniques and mediums, and his love for written word, he is currently finishing a super limited edition of hand-made and screen-printed zine and print. Last week, the Known Gallery featured the release party (with support from Hennessy) for a new line from Crooks & Castles designed by Futura. Entitled LEWDS, the collection (which can be seen in more detail here) featured the familiar text and atom motif from the NYC graffiti legend while paying homage to Christopher “Lewds” Natalio, the late Marketing Director of the streetwear brand. During the craziness that was Art Basel Hong Kong, one of the events we attended was How & Nosm’s debut & celebration of their Sake Art Bottle at HK’s Yardbird as well as the unveiling of two site specific murals. As previewed, this unique collaboration project fused the restaurant’s artist sake line with the iconic color & styling of the German born twins. Volvo Art Session is live art project taking place in Zurich’s main railway station that finds “selected Swiss and international artists applying their creativity to a Volvo car” The organizers of the event invited Nychos as one of the artists for their fourth year of the event. After recently releasing limited edition t-shirts in collaboration with Space Invader, Faile and Shepard Fairey, BNE is continuing the Artists 4 Water effort with another major artist.
