Openings: ESPO’s Creative Outlet

Last weekend, Steve Powers held an opening event for ESPO’s Creative Outlet, his new store located in downtown Brooklyn.  The shop features a wide selection of Powers’ artwork and ephemera, from books and catalogs to prints and paintings on metal. In addition, for the opening, Powers went way back into his archive to offer ESPO brand products from the Street Market era. Today at Noon (Pacific Time), Camille Rose Garcia (interviewed) will be releasing another hand-crafted plush on her webstore. Releases: Snoopy Ceramic (KAWS Version)

Tomorrow at noon (Octeber 22nd Eastern time), KAWS will be releasing something for his fans out there to celebrate Halloween. Reprising his collaboration with the popular Snoopy (see 2011), the ceramic jar will be available for approximately $132 on Kawsone. Also, for all those KAWS heads out there, remember the street turned contemporary artist will be participating in another holiday next month in this year’s Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade with a 40-foot-long balloon of his companion character. Openings: Eric Haze x Casio G-Shock – Design Retrospective

Last week, Casio G-Shock hosted a retrospective for legendary New York graffiti artist Eric Haze (featured). To celebrate their 4th collaboration in 15 years, Casio took a different approach to this showing – they worked with Eric to curate an exhibition that showcases their commercial design work over the past 3 decades.
