Basel Week HK ’14 / Previews: Ryan McGinley @ Galerie Perrotin (Hong Kong)

Timed to coincide with the week of Art Basel Hong Kong, the local branch of Galerie Perrotin will be exhibiting new works from Ryan McGinley. With the release scheduled for next month (June 17th), it’s time to tell you about James Jean’s (interviewed) latest project – working on Linkin Park ‘s new album artwork. Andrew Schoultz recently worked with StreetArtNews.net on a new low edition print release titled Sing The Troubled Beast.” Known for his rich imagery made of repeating elements, this 100% archival giclee is an explosion of everything he’s been known for – from kneeling characters, thick trees, monsters, leaves, logs, bricks and clouds to his signature colors that include black, gold, red and blue. Tomorrow night (May 10th) in San Francisco, the White Walls Gallery will be opening a new group exhibition curated by Sven Davis entitled Space//Squared.
