Upcoming: KAWS @ Galerie Perrotin (New York)

For those of you who like to plan your art calendar a little in advance, a trip to New York (if you aren’t in the area) may need to be arranged if you are a KAWS fan. Although he has had some pretty high profile projects (MTV & Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade) and shows around the world (Switzerland, Japan, Paris, Hong Kong) in the interim, stateside admirers of his work haven’t seen a proper exhibition since early last year in Atlanta. So there is much to celebrate […]

Jim Houser Mural @ Elixr Coffee (Philadelphia)

Philly-based painter, Jim Houser, recently worked on an indoors mural at Elixr Coffee in Philadelphia, as a part of their art program. While his works are showing in couple of group shows at the moment, Jim worked on his piece for couple of days, painting an image based on a small family portrait that is hanging in his son’s room. Using his signature palette of colors, and straight, very graphic lines and imagery, the piece has three birds in a peaceful, loving hug. Elixr plans to commission two indoor and […]

Using wood and spray paint, he built a structure using his recognizable geo elements painted with bright neon red and orange color with dark cloudy stains over them. With a such distinctive setup, the San Francisco-based artist definitely managed to get the store window more noticeable on this famous, already very bright and colorful street. Due to the size of the installation and the time limitations, Deiana couldn’t work […]
