Remember when we brought you pictures from the opening of Swoon’s (interviewed) show with Ben Wolf at Urban Art Info?Â Apparently, the good people at Gestalten TV were able to catch up with the street artist and sit down for a video interview at that time.Â Some of the topics discuss include her graffiti beginnings, the Swimming Cities, and an exciting new abandoned church project. Video: Agents of Change Ghostvillage Project

Here’s a trailer for an interesting little project in Scotland curated by Agents of Change. Six artists, Remi/Rough, Stormie, System, Timid, Derm and Juice 126, were given free reign of an abandoned village on the west coast of Scotland. We can’t begin to imagine what they did with an entire village as their canvas. More to follow…

Coming to Baby Tattooville equipped with a blank canvas and some paint, Greg “Craola” Simkins treated BT attendees with the ultimate in “tabula rasa” art experience.Â Creating coats upon coats of background texture, Greg spent hours building the foundation of what will undoubtedly become another masterpiece.Â Expect to see the completed painting at his upcoming show “The Pearl Thief” opening November 3rd at Gallery 1988 (LA).Â Pictures after the jump.

Saturday night, the Joshua Liner Gallery played host to the openings of two striking solo shows. In the front gallery, Kenji Hirata presented “The Way Out Is The Way In,” a bold collection of modern abstract paintings on canvas and paper. Hirata superimposes bright opaque colors within flat color fields, which brings to mind minimalist or hard-edged painters of the mid-20th century. On October 3rd, up and coming stencil artist FrePrs held his first solo at Galeria Con Safos in Santa Ana. We took notice of his bright and bold color combos which went great with his fresh and clean stencil techniques. FrePrs made sure there were plenty of mediums available for attendees to enjoy from canvas to prints. Judging from this impressive debut solo, we will be looking forward to seeing what he has planned for the future. See the opening night pics after the jump.

This is the first time we have seen the fabled “Destino” short film collaboration in full between Disney and Salvador Dali. Originally started in 1946, the project was benched because of financial reasons or whispers of the content being too extreme – who really knows what happened?
