Our friend RJ at Vandalog has been working on this project all summer and we’re happy to announce that his project is now in full bloom. With Ratio 3 playing host, Bay Area residents came out en masse to catch a glimpse of phenom photographer Ryan McGinley’s newest body of work last night. The last time we hung out with Ben Eine was when he was painting the “Alphabet Street” in London. He has since made headlines by entering Obama’s collection and now appears to have traveled to Cape Town to do some work. Take a look this nice project as he painted over some large vats with “FAIR SPONTANEOUS PASSIONATE CHANGE THE WORLD AND CELEBRATE.” Take a look at a couple of in progress shots as well as more shutters from South Africa after the jump…

Charming Baker has sent us a video interview about his recent “Stupid has a new Hero” show in New York (covered). You’ll see some funny sequences of him running through the streets of Chinatown and Lower East Side with his paintings. Streets: LX One & Remi/Rough in Strasbourg

Two parts of the Agents of Change collective – LX One and Remi/Rough – were recently in Strasbourg to paint a large wall as part of the 10th anniversary party for French-cool store RZO. The combination of Remi’s abstract work alongside LX’s geometric patterns caught our eyes when we saw some photos of the work like the one above. AM asked Remi about the trip and he sent us a mini-travelogue. Check it out along with some more flicks from LX One after the jump.

Kensington Gardens in London is currently the setting for “Turning the World Upside Down”, Anish Kapoor’s newest exhibition of his largescale mirror sculptures. Organized by the Royal Parks and Serpentine Gallery, the new locale for the renowned Indian artist’s most recent works certainly provides a stunning contrast especially when reflected in the shiny surfaces. The four sculptures will be in residence for six months amongst the trees, grass, and ponds and will feature around the clock security. More pics after the jump…

With violent imagery and crude commentary, all wrapped up in a huge ball of satire, Neck Face will be triggering our collective fears with his newest solo exhibition, Into Darkness (teased). Opening on Halloween Sunday, the street artist has brought together an impressive collection of gouche and watercolor drawings, acrylic and enamel paintings and mixed media sculptures to OHWOW’s Hollywood pop-up gallery. Releases: ESPO “Superfeen” print

We just came across Stephen Powers aka ESPO’s updated website, First and Fifteenth, this morning and saw that there is a host of back catalog goodness available, such as this ‘Superfeen‘ screenprint on plastic from 2002. They come from an edition of 300, but we assumed they were long sold out.
