Yesterday, the long anticipated return of hometown street art heroes happened in Sao Paulo at Galpão Fortes Vilaça when Os Gemeos opened their solo show. Projects: Sainer x Moneyless x Nawer x Zoer & Velvet for Boom Apartments

Four graffiti & street art artists from around Europe were recently invited to Krakow, Poland to work on a project named Boom Apartments. Sainer from the Etam Cru, Nawer from Poland, Moneyless from Italy, and Zoer & Velvet from France, got an apartment each to work on setting up. From painting indoor murals, to picking and arranging furniture, and designing the interior, each artist had an opportunity to turn each of the spaces into a unique work of art. Streets: Banksy (Glastonbury 2014)

This year’s Glastonbury Festival kicked off recently in the UK where attendees were surprised by an appearance by Banksy’s Sirens of the Lambs truck. Streets: Ernest Zacharevic (Malaysia)

Ernest Zacharevic recently did a month long art residency in Ipoh, Malaysia. During his stay in town, the Lithuanian born artist created several beautiful murals blending his works with old, worn out walls. With the new work, he focused on local people and their way of life, most noticeable in the Never Mine piece. Last week, the Known Gallery featured the release party (with support from Hennessy) for a new line from Crooks & Castles designed by Futura. Entitled LEWDS, the collection (which can be seen in more detail here) featured the familiar text and atom motif from the NYC graffiti legend while paying homage to Christopher “Lewds” Natalio, the late Marketing Director of the streetwear brand.
