Shepard Fairey: Yes We Did! print release and video

Shepard Fairey announced that in celebration of Obama’s presidential victory, a special limited print will be released through MoveON.org tomorrow. With all proceeds going to MoveOn – an organization which aims to bring real Americans back into the political process.Â The release will be on Nov. 7th at 9:30AM PST (12:30PM PST) via MoveOn.org HERE.Â This print will be an unsigned edition numbered up to 5000. Last night, AM had the opportunity to attend a very special event held by Bonhams LA. A unique panel of speakers from different corners of the Urban art genre gathered to discuss the state of the Urban art market and the economics/dynamics of today’s art marketplace. Last night KAWS had a very special opening reception to kickoff his new exhibition at Gering & LÃ³pez Gallery in New York. This marks his highly anticipated return to the New York fine art scene. Dan Witz: Kilroy Variations

Dan Witz has posted up some images up of his project the “Kilroy Variations,” his take on the ubiquitous “Kilroy was here” graffiti.Â Â He originally this project in 2006, but this 2008 update has evolved quite a bit since it’s beginnings. Some images were posted on Kaws’ blog of a visit by the film crew from CBS which presumably revealed some of the artwork for his upcoming Gering & Lopez show (previously teased). Looks to be more of the same abstract work we saw before as well as some SpongeBob paintings that look a little different than the ones he did for his Miami show. More after the jump.
