AM is in Hawaii and it’s the officially the first day of Pow Wow 2012. Similar to last year, we started the day on the North Shore and moved to Honolulu where artists and media took their first steps to getting the Loft in Space location ready for the big exhibition this Saturday. Keeping up with yet another mural going up across the streets of Los Angeles, we caught up with MSK/AWR graffiti writer RIME as he was putting up his signature character design in the arts complex overseen by Warren Brand. This week’s featured wall for our street art roundup from around the world is a sweet collaborative piece between Austrian artist Nychos and the German-based old school legend Flying Fortress. Boa Mistura or “Good Mixture” is made up of five Spanish artists, Arkoh, Derko, Pahg, Purone and Rdick, who have developed their work in different fields including graffiti and mural painting, to graphic design and illustration.
