Right after AM came back from Basel Week, we were visited by Belgium street artist ROA with whom we promptly hit the streets of New York with, specifically in Brooklyn. Initially, he focused his efforts in Factory Fresh’s neigborhood of Bushwick where he created some amazing works. We’re suckers for a great idea and also impatient when it comes to waiting for the delivery guys. So after posting about the KAWS x Standard Light Bulb Set, we headed to The Standard NY to cop this hot collaboration. Upon arrival, we were excited to see the shop already had the bulbs nicely installed. Even in the daylight the glowing XX’s were apparent from the dangled housing. We recently had the honor of visiting the studio of Pema Rinzin as he was preparing for his solo exhibition entitled Compassion Transformed, which opens January 27 at the Joshua Liner Gallery. This past Thursday, José Parlá was the guest of honor at a commencement party that paid tribute to the two ginormous murals he recently endowed to the City of Toronto.
