Video: JR x Liu Bolin Collaboration (NY)

Last month, we brought you some photos (here & here) from the JR (featured) and Liu Bolin collaboration in New York. For fans out there who want to see more of this complex project, the people at RHC have put together a nice video documenting the entire process from start to finish. Streets: Flying Fortress (Frankfurt)

At the end of last month, Montana Cans in Germany hosted a two day event, Just Writing My Name, where graf artists were invited to paint the Friedensbrücke bridge in Frankfurt. Munich-based legend Flying Fortress, who we met at this year’s POW WOW, participated with this long mural featuring “The Hit Collection.” Check out the full wall as well take a look at a video documenting the going-ons after the jump…

It looks like the G40 Art Summit in Richmond, Virginia that we mentioned earlier has kicked off with murals going up at multiple locations around town. Starting things off were Aryz with a massive still-life, ROA with a bird and arrow, Jaz with six lions, Pixel Pancho with two walls in his signature robotic style, and Gaia with his hands and dove. As we reach the end of March, we have some more worthy walls to share with you. Leading things off is another skeletal mural from Shok-1, this time in neon. Streets: London’s largest mural by Agents of Change

With the sun shining and scaffolding removed, wraps have come off London’s largest graffiti mural, covering two sides of a six-storey building in King’s Cross. Members of the Agents of Change crew with London based Remi/Rough, Edinburgh’s Steve More, LX.One from Paris, LA-based Augustine Kofie created this colourful geometrical artwork using over 500 litres of spray paint. Another weekend, another Streets: World Roundup here on AM. The highlighted mural this time comes from Tahrir Square in Egypt where Sheikh Khan painted one of the barriers that the Egyptian military erected to divide the streets that connect to government power centers. Recently, Nick Walker (interviewed) took a little trip across the pond to Chi-town hoping to spread a little Vandal love. With the weather finally cooperating Nick packed his freshly cut stencils and hit the streets of Chicago. His goal was to go big with his infamous character on the outside of Wicker Park night spot Violet Hour. Yesterday, we gave you an inside look at the collaborative project between Liu Bolin and JR (featured). During the first part of the day, the French artist wheat-pasted up a beautiful photo mural of the Liu. Now, we get to see Chinese artist return the favor and camouflage JR into his own art with his signature touch. To accomplish this, JR changed into a custom outfit with specially marked grids, which helps “pixelate” the painted sections for Liu Bolin and his assistants to focus on. After quickly […]

After a showing in San Francisco at the beginning of this year, Hush (interviewed) has moved on to Melbourne to prepare for his next exhibition scheduled for May at the Metro Gallery.
