Upcoming: Daniel Arsham – “Remember the Future” @ CAC Cincinnati

Coming up on March 20th at the CAC Cincinnati, the New York-based Daniel Arsham will be opening a show entitled Remember the Future. Releases: Bom.K – “Aérotik Malpa”

French artist Bom.K, member of the infamous DMV crew, recently finished working on his first edition of Aérotik sculptures. These collectible figures are entirely handmade by the artist himself, from its conception, creation to packaging. These characters have been present in BomK’s work for years, as a result of the spray paint fumes, representing an alchemy between the curves of the female body and the cold technicality of the aerosol. After their appearances on walls, canvases and paper, this is the first time they are appearing in 3D form, featuring all the recognizable elements of his haunting work. Upcoming: Haroshi – “Still Pushing Despite The Odds” @ Jonathan LeVine Gallery

After a successful showing with Jonathan LeVine in 2011 and 2013, Haroshi (featured) will be opening his third show with the gallery on February 19th. Showing: Isaac Cordal – “Moments de solitude” @ Spacejunk

Last week, Spacejunk in Bayonne, France presented new works from Isaac Cordal in an exhibition entitled Moments de solitude. For this showing, the Brussel-based artist created installations for the indoor space that mirror the pieces he usually leaves in the streets. These sculptural interventions, which he calls Cement Eclipses, consist of tiny middle-aged men in suits who navigate dreary, oppressive environments pointing out the how we are slaves to consumerism, funded by lives of drudgery.
