This morning, the Los Angeles MOCA lifted the veil of secrecy on its highly anticipated “Art in the Streets” exhibition. AM stopped by the LES district last week in New York to catch the latest show from Jonathan Viner and Elizabeth McGrath held at Sloan Fine Art (previewed). Last week, AM stopped by Fifty24SF, literally right next door to the Josh Keyes opening at Fecal Face (covered), to check out the new paintings from KMNDZ. The Los Angeles-based artist brought along his boys (they recently worked on a large-scale painting with him), up north to the show with him making it a family affair. Last week Julia Chiang opened her latest show in New York’s Half Gallery. This exhibition Security Is Mostly A Superstition featured a room size installation of hand crafted ceramic white chains measuring in length from five to thirty feet. Just this Saturday night, Roberts & Tilton packed the house for the latest installment of Kehinde Wiley’s The World Stage series (teased). The White Walls gallery opened the doors to Belgium-based street artist, ROA’s first San Francisco solo exhibition Saturday night. Last night, one of the hottest spots in Culver City was the opening of D*Face’s (featured) show Going Nowhere Fast at the Corey Helford Gallery.
