Tomorrow night (April 23) at the Vincent Price Art Museum in Los Angeles, Silent Wonderment: Exploring the World of Giant Robot will open their doors to the public from 7-10 pm. Drawing from the company’s rich history of as one of first to introduce America to Asian popular culture, the exhibition will include works from a select group of artists, a figure display, and a “Zine Habitat” created in collaboration with the Tiny Splendor zine collective. Showing: “City Lights” @ Millennium Iconoclast Museum of Art

Although the opening was delayed due to the terrible recent events in Brussels, City Lights at the newly formed Millennium Iconoclast Museum of Art ended up kicking off successfully earlier this month. Featuring the works of Maya Hayuk, Swoon, Momo, and Faile, the exhibition included installations from the American artist to go along with original works on display. Photo credit: la Repubblica.

After a showing in Berlin (covered) in 2014 and joining the 56th International Venice Biennale Arte (covered) in 2015, Katrin Fridriks will be showing soon at Lazarides Rathbone. For her second solo with the London gallery (opening in May), the Icelandic abstract and conceptual artist will be presenting a different version of one of her most recognizable pieces – Perception of the Stendhal Syndrome – Gene&Ethics Master Prism. Tomorrow night (April 21st) in San Francisco, the First Amendment Gallery (1AM SF) will be hosting a new solo show from 123KLAN (interviewed). Originally from France, this husband and wife duo are relocated to Montreal a while back where they have now prepared a new body of work entitled Style Is The Message for this exhibition. Upcoming: Tom Sach – “Boombox Retrospective, 1999–2016” @ Brooklyn Museum

Tomorrow night (April 21st) in New York, Tom Sachs will be sharing his collection of bricolage sculptural pieces inspired by the iconic boomboxes of the 70s and 80s (also see SXSW ’15). Boombox Retrospective, 1999–2016 at the Brooklyn Museum features eighteen works that illustrate the sculptor’s ability to recreate everyday objects with re-purposed materials. Activating the space, the pieces will be programmed with playlists that go on sequentially throughout our public hours. Discuss Tom Sachs here.

From April 23rd until June 12th, Library Street Collective in Detroit will be showing In Between, a solo exhibition by How & Nosm. We just received some interesting news from Ludo (interviewed) about the launch of his online store and a new edition release. On April 20th at 6pm Paris Time (CET), he will be releasing his new hand finished screen print Palynology or Police Bee through EnjoyTheViolence.com.
