For those of you in the Washington DC area, you’re in for a special treat. Tomokazu Matsuyama (interviewed) will be opening up a solo Thousand Regards this week at the Katzen Arts Center of the American University Museum. Co-sponsored by the Japan Embassy and the Japan Foundation, this impressive exhibition is part retrospective and part new imagery. Tomorrow night, March 31st, in Culver City, Natalia Fabia (interviewed) will be curating a show at the Corey Helford Gallery entitled Hookers. Drawing from her longstanding fascination with the world’s oldest profession, artists like Kent Williams, Michael Hussar, Phil Hale, Erik Sandberg, Saber, REVOK, and more have been instructed to produced similarly inspired work for the exhibition.
