On November 6th, Greg “Craola” Simkins will open the second and final part of his bi-coastal show at Gallery 1988 in LA. Entitled “It Wanders West,” it looks to be a tremendous show picking up right where “It Wanders East“ at Joshua Liner Gallery left off. Not many images have leaked yet but we have posted what we have gathered so far and there are hints of some on the in-progress video seen after the jump. AM also has the details for the print release […]

We have confirmed that the new Obama â€VOTE“ image which Shepard Fairey and AM premiered in DC will indeed be made into an official print to be sold on Barack Obama’s website! It should drop in the weeks prior to the election, so keep your eyes on the site. The edition size will be 5000 and should have a $70 price point. This will be Shepard’s 2nd print in the “Artists for Obama” product line. As with everything Shepard has donated to Obama’s campaign, all proceeds will continue to support the Barack […]
Wooster Collective recently unveiled their forthcoming Wooster special edition with influential French stencil artist Blek Le Rat. Apparently, a few of the special edition book and print sets (limited to 300 copies) were available last weekend at the opening of the Blek Le Rat (and Doze Green) show at Jonathan Levine Gallery. Look for the rest of the edition to drop on the Wooster Collective site sometime soon.
KAWS heads everywhere are on high alert after this image popped up on the Original Fake website usually signaling an imminent release (although rumors point to a xmas drop). Presumably the last colorway (black) after previous releases of the original and grey figures, this might be your last chance to own a 4 footer at retail. This will probably be very hard to obtain unless he increases the run size. The last figure was rumored to be limited to around 50 with less than 20 […]
One of the shows we are looking forward to at the end of 2008 is Amy Sol’s “smoke & water” at Mondo Bizzarro Gallery. Some new images have surfaced besides one that we previously posted; one of which is seen on the show card above. The use of the tsunami theme is quite interesting as Amy rarely paints any of her characters in distress. Perhaps the girl and the swan-like character with the basket are there as rescuers… Also, something you should be aware of […]

Takashi Murakami‘s company, Kaikai Kiki, had announced the release of new limited edition offset prints by Japanese pop artists Mr. and Chiho Aoshima. As the announcement was made on Kaikai Kiki’s Japanese-language Web site, the details are not clear.
