Teaser: Eelus – “The Colour Out Of Space” @ Blackall Studios

Street artist Eelus is preparing for his upcoming debut London solo show at the Blackall Studios location. Entitled “The Colour Out Of Space,” the exhibition will feature new paintings and prints on canvas, wood and metal like the image above.  A 30-colour screen print that will be available on opening night – February 25th. Video/Teaser: Aakash Nihalani – “On & Off (Often On)” @ Carmichael Gallery

Aakash Nihalani will be bringing his unique use of colored tape as a geometric artform to the Carmichael Gallery for a joint show with Mark Jenkins on January 21st. From the sound of things, attendees of the show, entitled “On & Off (Often On)”, will be seeing something fresh and exciting from Aakash for this new body of work. Teaser: Mark Jenkins – “Meaning is Overrated” @ Carmichael Gallery

Mark Jenkins, who recently did some work in Moscow, will be returning to the States for a show at the Carmichael Gallery. He’ll be bringing in some fresh installation art like the “Spokes” piece seen above for his show entitled “Meaning is Overrated.”  Definitely mark down January 21st and plan to attend the opening as he will be showing with another great artist – Aakash Nihalani. Teaser: Andrew Schoultz – “Crisis” @ Jerome Zodo Contemporary (Milan)

Another show we are looking forward to in March is Andrew Schoultz’s solo in Italy at the Jerome Zodo Contemporary.  Entitled “Crisis,” the exhibition opens on March 11th and will include this amazing large scale (11′ x 24′) piece “Monument Yard. (Monument to Turbulent Times)” which was about one and a half years in the making. Teaser: Lola – “Ipsum Factum” @ Corey Helford Gallery

Looking ahead to March, we see that Lola will be unveiling a new body of work “Ipsum Factum” at the Corey Helford Gallery. While working on her second solo show (first solo covered here) at the Culver City gallery, she says “every day is a lesson and a challenge, with noticeable evolution and growth.” For this show, she will be exploring the relationships between humans and animals. Teaser: Mike Shine @ SF MoMA

Following his recent recreations of his historic Art Shack at Art Basel Miami and the Museum of Craft and Folk Art earlier this year, Mike Shine starts off 2010 proper with yet another installation, this time at the prestigious SF MoMA.  Debuting on the eve of their 75th Anniversary Show, the “Mike Shine Show” will run from January 16th to the 17th.  Mike recently sent us a couple photos of the mural he’s working on, see the second process pic after the jump.

Teaser: Os Gemeos – “Nos Braços de um Anjo” @ Galleria Patricia Armocida

On January 25, Otavio and Gustavo Pandolfo, better known as Os Gemeos, will open “Nos Braços de um Anjo” (In the Arms of an Angel), their second solo show at Milan’s Galleria Patricia Armocida. Teaser: Glenn Barr @ The 4th Wall Gallery

Celebrated artist Glenn Barr will be bringing his creatures, vixens, and robots to Dallas for a solo show opening on January 14th. Teaser: Jennybird Alcantara @ La Luz de Jesus

Opening on January 8th at La Luz de Jesus, is Jennybird Alcantara’s first show for 2010, featuring a brand new body of work. As seen from the piece above combining the underwater and spacial realms, Alcantara likes to explore the interconnectedness of the natural world, painting the flora and fauna she loves – sometimes from taken from fairytales, fables and mythology.
