From the sound of things, attendees of the show, entitled “On & Off (Often On)”, will be seeing something fresh and exciting from Aakash for this new body of work. We’ll have more on this later but for now, check out a recent video he did with the good people of Babelgum after the jump…

Video: “Pringle of Scotland Spring/Summer 2010 campaign” – Ryan McGinley

Ryan McGinley, famed photographer, but also aspiring feature film director, recently directed a video (watch it after the jump) for luxury knitwear brand Pringle of Scotland.  It stars Tilda Swinton (whom McGinley has long admired) in a Pringle of Scotland dress and features signature McGinley scenes, such as forest, rocks, waves, and caves.  Sorry, no nudity this time.  It’s been a busy time for the artist, as he also recently had a showing at Art Basel Miami (where he was scheduled to speak) and is […]

Video: Streetfiles – “Thank You” to Montana Colors

When Montana Colors heard that Streetfiles, one of the important graffiti webzines in Europe, was in danger of closing down because of lack of funds, they responded generously. In return, Streetfiles filmed this video as a special thank you to the spanish aerosol paint company for their help. Via Montana Colors.

Video: Ron English x Homer Simpson x Jackson Pollock

Tonight, The Simpsons will air their 450th episode and with it, the award winning and and groundbreaking show will also celebrate their 20th anniversary. To commemorate this, after the show, there will be a hour-long documentary, The Simpsons 20th Anniversary Special: In 3-D! On Ice! featuring interviews with cast, creators and fans AND presumably this commissioned painting from Ron English (featured) will somehow be part of it. Take a look at this pretty cool time-lapse above as English does his thing depicting Homer getting jiggy […]

Video: Shepard Fairey Stencil Collection

You may remember our studio visit with Shepard Fairey around the time of the presidential election where we got a pretty extensive tour of Studio Number One. Now comes a fascinating video from Bomit where he takes a informal look through many of Shep’s stencils. Interestingly enough, do we hear some Howard Stern on the radio in the background? Discuss Shepard Fairey here.

Video: Remi/Rough x Jaybo @ Projectroom (Berlin)

Remi/Rough, who recently participated in the Ghost Village Project and Jaybo, who we last saw showing at the Signal Gallery got together to do a little live painting session in Berlin.  Working in the Projectroom (looks like same place where Herakut live painted), the two artists collaborated on two pieces, switching between each one multiple times, and then donating them to charity.

Video: Ghost Village Project (Completed)

Remember when we first told you about the Ghost Village Project in October of last year? Now comes the completed video of the massive project. Agents of Change asked the question – what do we do with a eyesore of an abandoned village originally built for 500 workers 33 years ago on the west coast of Scotland – workers who never showed up? Turn it into an art gallery basically – add characters that can live there to replace the ones that should have been […]
