Currently showing at New York’s Fredericks and Freiser, Matthew Palladino’s latest exhibition simply entitled New Work is about to come to the end of its run on June 11th. AM has heard that of the four of the new pieces created for the exhibition – his first showing in a Chelsea gallery – one of the paintings was acquired by the Whitney Museum for it’s permanent collection. We’ve enthused over Palladino’s work in the past, and wondered where he would take his dynamic and versatile painting […]

Looks like Phlegm has found a new location and is continuing to work on murals for his forthcoming photographic edition of his zine Phlegm Comic. If you remember, the UK-based artist had taken us on a tour of an abandoned school where he had spent time getting up a series of works, also slated for the epic comic which has been two years in the making. For those impatiently waiting for the wall zine, you may want to check out a separate project presumably to be […]

Getting up in the unlikely locale of Tennessee, Madrid-based REMED aka Guillaume Alby painted this mural for UrbanArt, an independent non-profit organization dedicated to development of public art in Memphis. Entitled Man & Woman Facing Each Other, the wall is a perfect example of the Spanish street artist’s organic geometry and lesser seen letter work. Located on Broad Avenue and commissioned by Loeb Properties, the large-scale piece features a man and woman reclining, facing each other.  He is connected to the sun, and she to […]

Since our last studio visit (here & here) to Faile’s Brooklyn HQ prior to their Bedtime Stories exhibition, we’ve had something we wanted to get off our chest – but, because we were of course sworn to secrecy at gunpoint, we hesitated to spill the beans on a project involving their top secret Puzzle Boxes. Well, now we can breathe a sigh of relief as the collective has given us the green light. We’re happy to tell you about a unique project in which the duo have […]
