Releases: Alex Pardee’s Digested Rainbow Giclee

Releasing later today is Alex Pardee’s “Digested Rainbow” giclee. “Digested Rainbow” was one of the standout pieces from his “Letters from Digested Children” show that we covered last year at FIFTY24SF. Limited to an edition of 50, the giclee comes signed and numbered and measures in at 17″ x 22″. Available sometime today through Hi-Fructose.

Update: Josh Keyes – “Fragment” @ Jonathan LeVine Gallery

As we eagerly await AM favorite Josh Keyes’ (interviewed) solo show “Fragment” opening this Saturday at Jonathan LeVine Gallery, we can share with you a shot from Josh’s new studio in Portland of the work in progress for the new body of work. Streets: Vhils in Moscow

After his work in Italy for the Fame Festival and in the UK for the Grifter’s group show, it looks like Vhils has moved on to Russia. Moscow seems like a popular target as Mark Jenkins’ work was recently spotted there as well. Releases: Gary Baseman – “Midnight Magi” Figure

Today, Gary Baseman (interviewed) is set to release his first figure “Midnight Magi” with toy maker Kidrobot. This heralds the launch of Kidrobot Black, an ultra-exclusive line that features only one colorway – black, with the molds being broken after production. The cool figure is limited to only 200 pieces and will only be released on a special Kidrobot site: http://www.black.kidrobot.com. So, keep your eyes peeled for the special site to go live. Openings: “He-Man and the Masters of the Universe” Show @ Gallery 1988 (LA)

Information from Jerry Saltz’s Facebook account: LA MoCA just announced that Jeffrey Deitch is their new Director. He begins June 1. He will soon close his gallery.
