NASA recently released a video they call Perpetual Ocean which tracks all the ocean currents from around the world. Art Focus: Peter Lippmann

For this week’s Art Focus, AM would like to introduce the photography of Peter Lippmann. Although he has produced some wonderful series of work on rotting fruit, destroyed cameras, remixes of master paintings, and more, we will be looking at his Paradise Parking shots. Preview: “Hookers” @ Corey Helford Gallery

Tomorrow night, March 31st, in Culver City, Natalia Fabia (interviewed) will be curating a show at the Corey Helford Gallery entitled Hookers. Drawing from her longstanding fascination with the world’s oldest profession, artists like Kent Williams, Michael Hussar, Phil Hale, Erik Sandberg, Saber, REVOK, and more have been instructed to produced similarly inspired work for the exhibition. Showing: Kelsey Brookes – “Meditations on Symmetry” @ Compound Project

After a showing in the UK and a refreshing vacation in Hawaii, Kelsey Brookes (featured) has returned to Cali to work on a fresh set of paintings. The new body of work is currently on display at Compound Project in Malibu and is entitled Meditations on Symmetry. Although the pieces still maintain the vibrancy and love for patterns seen in previously, Brookes seems to be exploring a more abstract side of his oeuvre. More photos after the jump…

Following a successful and complex collab (here & here) with French artist JR, Liu Bolin also recently unveiled a new series of photos at Eli Klein in Soho. The much anticipated return of Liu to the Big Apple was actually to show work from the photoshoots he conducted during his 2010 trip to NYC as well as his publicized collaboration with Harper’s Bazaar and fashion icons Gaultier, Lanvin, Missoni and Valentino. Streets: London’s largest mural by Agents of Change

With the sun shining and scaffolding removed, wraps have come off London’s largest graffiti mural, covering two sides of a six-storey building in King’s Cross. Members of the Agents of Change crew with London based Remi/Rough, Edinburgh’s Steve More, LX.One from Paris, LA-based Augustine Kofie created this colourful geometrical artwork using over 500 litres of spray paint.
