Tonight in Los Angeles at Taschen, fans of Mark Ryden will have a chance to check out his newest book in person as well as get it signed by the man himself. The impressive publication, Pinxit, is a comprehensive 366 page survey of Ryden’s 20 year career and is currently available as the Collector’s Edition of 1,000 ($1000). Video / Streets: ABOVE (Cape Town)

After going big on multiple walls (here, here, and here) during Art Basel Miami Week ahead of a sold out showing, ABOVE (interviewed) has surfaced in Cape Town with some new work. The prolific Bay Area-based artist’s latest wall is for Origin Wines, a South African winery that leads one of the largest Fairtrade projects globally. POW WOW ’12 / Streets: 123 Klan x Flying Fortress x Aaron De La Cruz x Slick

The ocean and the gnarly waves are some of the elements that are synonymous with the Hawaii islands and this year’s POW WOW made sure to make their mark on some water front property. POW WOW ‘ 12 / Streets: Will Barras x Meggs x Mr. Jago x Angry Woebots x Phibs x Peap Tar

Continuing our look on the streets of Hawaii, the impact of POW WOW and the artists brought in from around the world on the industrial district of Kaka’ako is undeniable. This time we look at the building that houses former UFC champion BJ Penn’s gym. Artists hailing from Australia (Meggs & Phibs), Britain (Will Barras & Mr. Jago) and New Zealand (Peap Tar) collaborated along side Hawaiian artist Angry Woebots to create an impressive piece. Streets: Da Mental Vaporz (Melbourne)

We’ve been following the Da Mental Vaporz crew in Australia as they are currently showing at Rtist Gallery. Combining a patchwork of their different styles, the DMV crew consisting of Bom-K, Blo, Brusk, Dran, Gris1, ISO, Jaw, Kan, and Sowat just completed an imaginary bestiary on a four-storey building in the heart of Chinatown, making it the largest graffiti mural of Melbourne. Showing: ROA – “Defragmentation” @ The Scarlett Gallery

As we reported on earlier this month, not only did ROA reveal a new body of work entitled Fragments at the Scarlett Gallery in Stockholm (covered), he also created a separate special installation for his fans in Sweden. Defragmentation features his animalistic anatomical works in the form of wall murals and individual paintings with the Belgium-based street muralist’s signature movable panels.
