The solo exhibition Due Date by Brian Adam Douglas (interviewed) opened on Thursday 9 March to a full house at London’s Black Rat Projects. Douglas himself was fine form throughout the evening, chatting with visitors and signing copies of his new book, Paper cuts, published by Drago. Openings: Clare Rojas – “Inside Bleak” @ PRISM Gallery

Last night, AM attended the jam-packed opening of Clare Rojas’ solo exhibition at the PRISM gallery with what appeared to be the rest of young Hollywood. The San Francisco-based painter and musician impressed with her folk-inspired murals, paintings, wall panels, and the sheer breadth of her work. Filling the expansive architectural space is no small feat, but Rojas did it by further exploring the abstraction she recently started as well as increasing the detail in her figurative work. POW WOW ’11 / Interview: 123Klan

Some other participants in this year’s POW WOW will be Scien and Klor, repping the 123Klan from Montreal. Initially formed as a graffiti crew 20 years ago, the klan has branched out to branding, creation of logos, character design, illustration and typefaces, all the while staying true to their first love – graffiti.
