With Molestia, Chali has set strict limitations for his practice and work process, taking the minimalist approach to new heights. Mixing organic and geo-based shapes with vibrant primarily colors, and playing with multiple […]

Streets: Jorge Rodriguez-Gerada – “Connection” (Beirut)

Recently in Beirut, Lebanon, Jorge Rodriguez-Gerada (featured) completed a mural entitled Connection with support from BAD (Built by Associative Data). The wall now (commissioned by Beirut Digital District) features a young boy exploring an electric circuit board, touching on the need for innovation and education in building a better future for the country. Taking a full ten days for the Cuban-American artist to complete, the piece deftly navigates various architectural elements to spread across the structure. Discuss Jorge Rodriguez-Gerada here.

Previews: Igor Taritaš – “Alienated Space” @ Tales of Art

Croatian artist Igor Taritaš will be opening a solo with a new gallery, Tales Of Art, in Imola, Italy, on November 25th. For Alienated Space, the young artist created a new series of distinctive acrylic paintings that explore the notion of space through play with architecture and light. For his show earlier this year in Zagreb, Croatia (covered), Taritaš painted a series of works which portray somewhat sumptuous, almost kitschy concepts of luxurious life spaces. Illuminated with dimmed, indeterminate light, the pieces are both glorifying the palatial […]

Marking the opening of a new outdoor […]
