Currently at BC Gallery in Berlin, Axel Void has a series of provocative works on display entitled Sehnsucht. The solo show from the Miami-based artist consists mainly of small and large paintings featuring portraits of people with plastic wrapped around their heads as well as some videos (sample here). Next Thursday, July 16th, BC Gallery in Berlin will be opening a solo show from Axel Void entitled Sehnsucht. The collective name of the new series of paintings and videos by the Miami-based artist comes from the German noun translated as longing, yearning, or craving or in a wider sense a type of “intensely missing” but is more complex than simply those terms. During Art Basel Week in Miami the Yo <3 305 Gallery in Wynwood brought together the work of seven muralists from around the world for a Fordistas collective exhibition entitled The Art of Collaboration: Friends and Family.
