Preview: Brett Amory – “Dark Light” @ Jonathan LeVine Gallery

We last caught up with Brett Amory (interviewed) while he was in London for his show at the Lazarides-run Outsiders Gallery in January. Time goes by quick as he’s already set to open his newest solo, Dark Light, at the Jonathan LeVine Gallery on June 30th. They recently posted up some photos of Brett getting ready for the big New York show that will give you some idea of what to expect.

Openings: “There It Is” @ Thinkspace Gallery

Last weekend, the “There It Is” group exhibition opened at the Thinkspace Gallery featuring Seth Armstrong, Brett Amory (interviewed), and Adam Caldwell. Interviews: Brett Amory

Brett Amory is an artist living and working in San Francisco. Amory graduated from the Academy of Arts in 2005 and has been showing his work all over the country since graduating. Amory first made his mark with the release of “Convergence”, a book that came out in 2006 that he put out with some friends whose names you may recognize (Mars-1, David Choong Lee, Damon Soule, Oliver Vernon, and Nome Edona). Preview: “The Next Generation” Group Show @ London Miles Gallery

The largely USA based new contemporary art movement continues it’s assault on the UK next week with “The Next Generation” opening Friday June 11th at London Miles Gallery. Events: Sketch Tuesday @ 111 Minna
