Releases: Brett Amory – “Bleeker Bob’s (9pm-10pm)” Print

Tomorrow (Friday, September 20th) at 3pm PST, Spoke Art will be be releasing a new print from Brett Amory’s (featured) entitled Bleeker Bob’s (9pm-10pm). The signed and numbered edition of 100 will be sized at 26 x 26″ and cost $100. Of note, the first 20 copies of the run ($350) will be labeled HPM and will be personally hand embellished (of which you can see Amory in action in these photos we included). Brett Amory – “Twenty-Four in New York” @ Jonathan LeVine Gallery

Last month, AM attended the opening of Brett Amory’s (featured) new solo show entitled Twenty-Four in New York. For his second showing at Jonathan LeVine Gallery (alongside POSE & REVOK), the SF-based artist continued his series of works documenting various locations in selected cities, all in one hour increments. Rounding out the paintings, were the display of found objects at the spots he featured as well as a site-specific installation which incorporated a magazine stand with structural components. As a followup to his showing last year, Twenty-Four in San Francisco, Brett Amory (featured) brings this conceptual vision to the East Coast. Amory filmed 40 locations throughout the five boroughs of New York, each in a one-hour increment at all hours of the day and night. Releases: Brett Amory – “Bob’s Donuts” Print

Later this afternoon (around 3pm PST), Brett Amory (featured) will be releasing a new print through Spoke Art on their online store. Entitled Bob’s Donuts, the image is taken from a painting from his showing at the Sandra Lee Gallery (covered) last year. Openings: Brett Amory – “Twenty-Four in San Francisco” @ Sandra Lee Gallery

Last week, Brett Amory’s latest effort, Twenty-Four in San Francisco, was put on display at Sandra Lee Gallery located in San Francisco’s Union Square (see the studio preview here). The show contained 24 paintings, each capturing a moment from a different location from a different hour of the day. Various objects found on the ground at each site was displayed throughout the space. One of the most interesting things about curating a group exhibition of over 100 artists is getting to see behind the scenes as the artists develop their work for the show (Chloe Early seen above).
