Cologne’s Ruttkowski;68 Gallery recently opened a unique gallery show by Danish multidisciplinary talent, Henrik Vibskov. Mostly known as a fashion designer and the mastermind behind his avant-garde fashion label, Vibskov is an acomplished musician, costume and set designer, and an artist. FriendsWithYou – “We Are FriendsWithYou” Book Signing @ MOCA Grand Ave

On the afternoon of Saturday, May 31, FriendsWithYou celebrated the release of their We Are FriendsWithYou book, published by Rizzoli. The live signing event happened in their hometown of Los Angeles, at MOCA Grand Ave, with fans and friends of all ages. Showing: Aurel Schmidt & Pierre Molinier @ M+B Gallery

Last week, AM stopped by M+B Gallery in Beverly Hills to check out the current show featuring work from Aurel Schmidt and the late Pierre Molinier. The unexpected pairing actually worked out quite nicely thematically combining Schmidt’s exquisite, twisted, and creative drawings of human anatomy with the French artist’s erotic photomontages. Only few months after creating his first ever outdoors mural for their event in Honolulu (covered), James Jean (interviewed) was invited to join the POW! WOW! family at their first edition of POW! WOW! Taiwan. Designated an old rugged wall at the Taipei Zoo, the Taiwanese American visual artist fought the elements and created this impressive mural titled Paradise. Showing: Brendan Monroe & Evah Fan – “Black and Night” @ Shimokitazawa Books

While in Taiwan for POW! WOW! Taiwan, husband and wife Brendan Monroe and Evah Fan took the opportunity to show together at Shimokitazawa Books. Entitled Black and Night, the exhibition featured a small selection of Monroe’s topographic “Black” ink drawings and Fan’s characters floating among the stars of the “Night” sky.
