Releases: Jeff Soto – “Seeker Friends Elements: Life” Print

Earlier this year, we introduced you to the Seeker Friends Elements series from Jeff Soto (interviewed). A continuation of his Seeker Friends prints, the set of nine total timed editions will have a new addition, Life, on Thursday at noon PST, and will be available for 24 hours until noon PST on Friday after which no more will be sold. Sized at 6″ x 6″ on sustainable plywood, the new print will be available for $30 at the aforementioned time at Prints On Wood. Discuss Jeff Soto here.

Coming up on May 17th, a group show curated by Andrew Hosner of Thinkspace will open in Berlin as part of Project M/4 (also see M/3) with Urban Nation. Tracey Emin’s Work On Display At The Cosmopolitan Hotel (Las Vegas)

Like last year in New York City’s Time Square, Tracey Emin’s work is currently on display in another high profile location. The Cosmopolitan in Las Vegas, a hotel known for its commitment to the arts, are displaying images of the UK artist’s neon love notes on its giant LED sign outside as well as on other indoor and outdoor marquees. Kickstarter: A Secretly Filmed Sci-Fi Starring Ai Weiwei

An interesting project surfaced a couple days ago when it was announced that there was a secret short film starring Ai Weiwei in his acting debut. The dystopian sci-fi, written and directed by Jason Wishnow (the filmmaker behind “TED Talks”), made on the down low in China, features the dissident artist as a smuggler in a world without water. One of the unique aspect of the Armory Art Show during Armory Week is the fact that it’s spread out over two piers (92 & 94) on the west side of Manhattan Island with each pier themed differently. The Fabergé Big Egg Hunt (New York)

Kicking off yesterday, the Fabergé Big Egg Hunt features egg sculptures customized by 260 artists, designers, photographers, architects and other creatives, some seen regularly here on AM. This event is a followup to the successful hunts held in London in 2012 and Dublin in 2013.
