Upcoming: Boris Tellegan – “Pieces” @ Backslash

Returning for his third solo show with Backslash on April 20th, Boris Tellegen aka Delta will be presenting a new body of work entitled Pieces. Included in the exhibition are a series of paper collages (pictures here), sculptures, and installations, all strongly influences by the Dutch artist’s interest in architecture (also seen with his work on the streets). Rounding out the show will be a projected video that retraces the lettering he famously applied to trains between 2014 and 2017. Discuss Boris “Delta” Tellegen here.

On April 27th, Library Street Collective will be presenting new works from Kelsey Brookes, his second solo with the gallery in Detroit. Entitled Position, the show continues the San Diego-based artist’s practice of combining his love for science and his artistic vision, drawing from his background as a former biologist and from his interest in psychedelics. Stolenspace Ballery in London is currently hosting a double solo show, presenting new works by The Lost Object and Low Bros. The first is an Amsterdam-based artist who is showcasing his latest body of work created with discarded or abandoned materials, while the Berlin-based art brothers putting their newest retro futuristic animal-based compositions on display. Releases: Jeff Koons x Louis Vuitton Collection

Last week, Jeff Koons revealed his latest high profile project – a collection he designed with Louis Vuitton. Entitled Masters, the collaboration features 51 different pieces including handbags, scarves, key chains and small leather goods, including wallets and laptop sleeves. The concept behind it all was inspired by the American artist’s Gazing Ball series of paintings from 2015 which featured reproductions of various masterpieces adorned with blue reflective spheres. After the his recent self-sponsored billboard went up near his studio in the Little Osaka area in Los Angeles, James Jean (interviewed) has announced a print release of the image. Udon II will be a time-limited edition starting 8:00 AM PDT on Monday, April 10 and ending at 7:59 AM PDT on Tuesday, April 11.
