A couple weeks ago, AM documented the mural process of Belgium-based street artist ROA as he painted a tower in Copenhagen for the Galore Festival. We can now bring you more photos of other artists who participated including French artist Dran and the entire Da Mental Vaporz crew (who painted a long wall together), and many others like RIPO, Drewk The Pirate, Grito, and Lints. After recent visits by Shepard Fairey (covered) and COPE2 (covered), another artist heads over to make his mark in Copenhagen – ROA. The Belgium-based artist was in town for the Galore Festival taking place in the the cultural zone of Toftegårds place in Valby. For his part, the prolific street artist decided to wrap what looks like a scaled serpent painted in his distinctive anatomic style around a tower. Openings: COPE2 – “World’s Famous Bubble!” @ Halvandet

Just last weekend, legendary Bronx writer COPE2 paid a visit to Copenhagen for the opening of his show at Halvandet. Not only did he bring a plethora of variations of his famous bubble tag, he also worked in an outdoor mural for his fans and was sighted at the Shepard Fairey show. As you know, Shepard Fairey’s (featured) was just in Copenhagen for his show at V1 Gallery (covered). We had privately been told by multiple sources that him and Romeo Trinidad of OBEY Clothing had been attacked while in town, but didn’t want to write about it until there was official word released (which just happened). Suffice it to say, it was a complicated situation in part perpetuated by misinformation in the press surrounding the first mural in a series of murals he did on the streets. […]

Copenhagen has been a pretty popular destination for international artists recently. After only recently been gifted multiple murals from Shepard Fairey’s (featured), who was in town for his solo show (covered), renowned graffiti king COPE2 arrived to paint his famous “bubble” tags on an adjacent wall next to one of Shep’s pieces. The South Bronx wildstyle legend is in town for his own exhibition at Halvandet (more on the opening later). More views of the mural thanks to Henrik Haven after the jump…

As most of our regulars know, we have been following Shepard Fairey’s (featured) excursion into Copenhagen for a series of murals (part 1, part 2, and part 3) leading up to his showing at V1 Gallery. Preview / Setup: COPE2 – “World’s Famous Bubble!” @ Halvandet (Copenhagen)

After a showing just last month in Los Angeles, COPE2 takes his famous throwup’s internationally as he prepares for an opening in Denmark tomorrow, August 6th. The new body of work entitled World’s Famous Bubble focuses on his iconic bubble lettering and looks to be produced on site at Halvandet in Copenhagen. The leader of the Obey campaign is in Denmark for his show this weekend at V1 Gallery but has been getting up around town these last several days.
