Upcoming: Daniel Arsham – “Remember the Future” @ CAC Cincinnati

Coming up on March 20th at the CAC Cincinnati, the New York-based Daniel Arsham will be opening a show entitled Remember the Future. For his first major exhibition in Ohio, the artist known for his sculptural works created with an architectural mindset, will “respond in unique ways to the scale, light and structure of the CAC building.” Discuss Daniel Arsham here.

Basel Week Miami ’14: Snarkitecture Installation @ Shop Alchemist

There is still time for those in town for Basel Week Miami to stop by the Airball installation created by Daniel Arsham of design studio Snarkitecture and the Miami Beach based Alchemist. Open through tomorrow on level 5 of the the Herzog & de Neuron designed parking garage (1111 Lincoln Road), site of another event in 2013, the specially designed basketball arcade-style games are the main attraction along with some goodies for sale. Upcoming: Daniel Arsham – “The Future is Always Now” @ Galerie Perrotin (Paris)

Running concurrently and staggered with the current G I R L exhibition at Galerie Perrotin in Paris starting Thursday night (June 12th) will be a new show from Daniel Arsham. The Future is Always Now will be the New York-based artist’s ninth solo with the gallery and will feature about 20 artworks centered thematically around music, an interest seen previously with his collaboration with Pharrell. Previews: Daniel Arsham – “Kick the Tires and Light the Fires” @ OHWOW Gallery

On April 5th, the OHWOW Gallery in Los Angeles will be hosting new works from Daniel Arsham entitled Kick the Tires and Light the Fires. The American artist is known for his sculptural “relics” that take modern items and recreates it in such a way that makes it appear as it would if found in the future as part of an archeological dig as well as works based off himself that resemble the victims of Pompeii. Basel Week Miami ’13: Daniel Arsham – “Future Relic”

One of the launch events during Art Basel Week was Future Relic by Daniel Arsham (seen above with artist DRx Romanelli). Presented by OHWOW Gallery, this event served to debut a collaborative film starring Daniel with fashion designer Richard Chai and features Ben Louis Nicholas as the director of photography and music created by Swiss Beats.
