Openings: Haroshi – “Wait What” @ HHH gallery

One month after opening his third NYC show (covered), Haroshi had a pre-opening special exhibition at HHH gallery on March 21st in Tokyo. The gallery that was co-founded by Haroshi and Usugrow held host to a group of locals who are engaged in various creative activities, such as book-making, event planning, music-making and filmmaking. AM recently had the chance to peek inside Meguru Yamaguchi’s studio in Brooklyn as he was preparing a new body of work, which will be shown at Reed Space starting March 26th. Infinity Net will present some striking new abstract work by the Tokyo-born and raised artist for his second showing at the space. Opening: Pixel Pancho – ‘Memory of Life’ @ StolenSpace

Pixel Pancho just launched his first solo exhibition in London at StolenSpace entitled Memory of Life. The Italian artist has transformed the gallery space with installations featuring surreal robotic characters using pieces of furniture & musical boxes while also created some sculptures with moving mechanisms, including Michelone, an edition of 10 handmade and articulated robots. Patrick Martinez x Kobe Bryant for BlackRainbow Magazine

French magazine BlackRainbow recently unveiled the cover of their latest issue featuring Kobe Bryant on the cover posed with the work of Patrick Martinez in the background. The basketball themed release (limited to 100 copies) can be purchased on BlackRainbow‘s Parisian flagship store and online. In it, Kobe can be seen in front of Martinez’s signature neon works as well as a large painting. Howard Griffin Gallery Los Angeles opened a solo by Pablo Delgado on March 7th entitled On Their Level. After showing last year at their London gallery (covered), the Mexican artist took a different approach to presenting his peculiar work this time. By changing the point of view and challenging the viewer’s perspective, the exhibition “explores multiple perceptions of society, equality, consumerism and temporality.“ Delgado’s street work usually consists of small installations within existing environments, which strongly affects viewing experience. A few months after his last solo show in NYC (covered), DALeast (interviewed) went on a two month trip around China, Nepal and India. He timed his travels to arrive in Delhi on time to participate in the local St+Art Project with a fresh mural. The offices of Rock Paper Scissors, a post production company located on the Westside recently had the locally-based RISK work on two walls for them.
