With Armory Week in full swing now in New York, be sure to stop by the Jonathan LeVine booth at VOLTA to check out new works from POSE. After bringing you extensive coverage of this year’s POW! WOW! Hawaii, it’s time to recap the rest of murals that we didn’t have time to focus on. AM stopped by the How & Nosm studio in NYC around time when the artistic duo was finalizing their preparations with Pace Prints for their collaborative print project. Scott Campbell’s second showing with Galerie Gmurzynska’s St. Moritz (Via Serias) location recently opened, giving his fans in Switzerland a chance to admire a diverse range of works. The Smartest Thing I Ever Did Were Foolish Things For Love is dedicated to the theme of love, no doubt inspired by his recent marriage. Paintings, sculptures, cut currency works, as well as “fuse paintings,” which are created by drawing with gunpowder and then ignited, fill the space with examples of the Brooklyn-based artist’s recent creative output and “love statements.” […]

A couple weekends ago, old friends RISK (interviewed) and Nathan Ota opened up a show together at the Corey Helford Gallery. Displaying their collaborative efforts (like the paintings seen in 2011 in LA & SF), the two artists put together a cohesive new body of work that features RISK’s deconstructive color washes & lettering along with Ota’s surreal characters.
