Seemingly coinciding with Paris Fashion Week, a few new yet unconfirmed pieces from Banksy recently materialized in the French capital. We have three murals for you so far, starting with the wall above featuring a girl spray painting a damask-like pattern over a swastika, speaking to the loss of innocence and the fears of rising anti-Semitism in Europe. Earlier this month in the Netherlands, Telmo Miel got up a majestic new mural for the Royal Netherlands Marine Corps. Working on the historical ‘Van Ghent’ Base in Rotterdam, the Dutch duo titled the piece after the motto of the elite amphibious infantry unit – As Far As The World Extends. Recently in Columbia, D*Face (interviewed) participated in the first Dictador Art Masters event along a international roster of street artists. Painting at an old abandoned rum distillery in the rainforest, the British artist had free rein to explore the pipes, tanks, nooks and crannies to search for some interesting “canvas” ideas.
