As part of their pre-summer program, Galleria Patricia Armocida in Milan recently opened a group show titled Mint Julep. Featuring works by Maya Hayuk, Cleon Peterson, Revok, and Francesco Igory Deiana, the exhibition opened on May 18th and will stay on view through July 22nd. The idea of this show was to mix artists and their diverse styles into a fresh, attractive installation, similar to a Mint Julep cocktail, made by mixing bourbon, ice, sugar and mint into a refreshing drink. After featuring his works in a couple of group shows over the years, Galeria Patricia Armocide recently opened a solo from Todd James. Entitled Secret Garden the show includes seven large-scale acrylic on canvas paintings and eight medium and small-scale gouache on paper paintings, and will stay on view until the 1st of August. Back in November, we stopped by Galleria Patricia Armocida in Milan, to check out shows by two fresh, talented artists – Vietnam native Diem Chau, and Kappao from Korea. The mutual thing about both artists is the fact that they use very delicate and fragile materials, that through their meticulous patient process, are turned into delicate beautiful pieces of art. Earlier this month Dennis McNett (featured), Swoon (interviewed) and Monica Canilao opened a brand new exhibition entitled The Folding of a Known World at Galleria Patricia Armocida. The trio of US-based artists traveled to Milan to work together on creating fresh collaborative installations filled with their signature styles and techniques. McNett sent us some photos documenting their progress as they slaved away in Italy as well as some final shots of the fruits of their labor. Check it all out after the jump.

A couple weeks ago, Patricia Armocida Gallery opened a group show curated by Steve Powers (aka ESPO) at their Milan location. The hottest twins in the art world landed in Milan for their much anticipated second show with Galleria Patricia Armocida entitled “Nos Braços de um Anjo” (In the Arms of an Angel), which opened last night. Os Gemeos premiered their latest body of work, consisting of beautiful canvas paintings, sculptures and of course their famed installations for the lucky folks of Italy. On January 25, Otavio and Gustavo Pandolfo, better known as Os Gemeos, will open “Nos Braços de um Anjo” (In the Arms of an Angel), their second solo show at Milan’s Galleria Patricia Armocida. According to the gallery’s press release, the twins will present new canvases and sculptures, as well as a site-specific interactive installation. See two other teaser images, after the jump
