Streets: Inti (Spain)

Inti was recently invited to La Mancha in Spain, in order to paint a large mural with his vision of Don Quijote, the famous book character by Miguel de Cervantes. After working on the wall for several days, creating a massive image with his familiar technique and colors, the finished piece was finally revealed. The Chilean artist did indeed change the usual look of Quijote by covering his signature mustache and goatie with a bandanna, and giving his hat more of a helmet looks. But, it […]

POW! WOW! ’14 / Streets: Inti

After long days of working under hot Hawaiian sun, another participating artist the of POW! WOW! Hawaii festival, Inti, recently finished his mural. Known for his focus on the rich South American history, tradition, and symbols in his public art, the artist decided to use this “smaller wall” (by his standards), for something a bit different. Instead of painting only his characters that he is most known for, the Chilean-born and Paris-based artist created a still life image using a lot of different elements. Along with […]

Streets: World Roundup (Sept 10 – Sept 16)

Headlining our Streets: World Roundup this week is a rare extraterrestrial piece from Invader. After a failed attempt last month, he has finally lived up to namesake and invaded space with his tiled works. Launching from Miami, Florida where he is preparing for his next exhibition, the French street artist was able to send his imagery into orbit with a helium balloon fitted with a camera to document it (and GPS to retrieve it). Other murals to admire on earth this week include work from Inti – […]

Streets: CityLeaks Summary – Faith47, DAL, ROA, Herakut, INTI

We’ve already shown you the walls that Blu and Ethos painted for the CityLeaks Festival in Germany, but it looks like it’s time for a summary of some of the rest of the participants. As we have become accustomed to, street artists Faith47 and DAL worked on murals with religious overtones and frenetic energy respectively. Belgium-based ROA brought his new skinned animal concepts from indoors to outdoors. Herakut painted one of their signature collaborative pieces for their home country with some of their pensive lettering. […]
