Streets / Recap: Dubai Street Museum

The first phase of the Dubai Street Museum project was recently completed with the participation of 12 international and local artists, producing 16 murals on themes drawn from the UAE’s history and heritage. Showing: DMV @ Villa Alliv (Marseille)

After a two week residency at Villa Alliv, JAW, BLO and KAN of the Da Mental Vaporz crew (DMV) are showing their collaborative artworks. The three artists have invaded the space with canvasses as well extending their imagery to the walls and ceilings, blending their own distinctive style from abstract and impulsive to pointillism and precision with the results being  vibrant and energetic compositions. Previews: DMV – ‘Residence’ @ Villa Alliv

On Saturday, the 30th of April, Villa Alliv in Marseille, France will open its doors for a new exhibition entitled Residence. JAW, KAN and BLO, members of the Da Mental Vaporz crew have transformed the space following a two week residency. The new body of work is a the result of collaborations between the artists, carried out in situ. Under impulse and improvisation, they bring their instinctive and distinctive methods together – street pointillism (KAN), abstraction (BLO) and image destructuring (JAW) – to create surrealist compositions.

Openings: Gris1 & Kan – “Humanity” @ Atelier des Bains

Urban art lovers in Geneva, Switzerland, are currently enjoying the original works by two of the members of the infamous French graffiti crew DMV.  Humanity, curated by Nicolas Couturieux, is a two men show featuring Kan and Gris1 that opened on the 28th of May at Atelier des Bains. Members of the French street-art collective Da Mental Vaporz  are currently in Berlin, working hard on their upcoming collaborative exhibition, The Wall, opening on the 26th of May at BC gallery. La Tour 13 (Paris)

Over looking the Seine, La Tour Paris 13‎ is a project curated by Mehdi Ben Cheikh from Galerie Itinerrance.
