For those who missed it, KAWS recently collaborated with designer Mira Mikati on several different varsity jackets. Featuring the cartoon character based imagery from the Brooklyn-based artist, the jackets from Mikati are now available from colette for €1100. Previews: KAWS @ Yorkshire Sculpture Park

Three weeks before the official opening on the 6th of February, the historically designed landscape of Yorkshire Sculpture Park turned into sort of a construction site last weekend. With large trucks, cranes and other heavy machinery in place, the setup of the first UK museum exhibition by KAWS has begun. From the 6th of February until the 12th of June 2016, Yorkshire Sculpture Park will be hosting the first UK museum exhibition by KAWS. The show will include new large, bright, graphic canvases at their expansive Longside Gallery and a series of monumental companion sculptures which will be exhibited around the historically designed landscape of YSP. Showing: KAWS – “Clean Slate” @ LA NAVE (Ibiza)

Currently in Ibiza, some works from KAWS are on display at LA NAVE, a new 8,000 sq. ft. exhibition space on the island launched by New York-based gallerist and art collector Lio Malca. Anchored by the seven-metre-tall Clean Slate companion sculpture, the exhibition also includes some originals and prints on display in the transformed old salt warehouse overlooking the Mediterranean Sea. Fans of Brian Donnelly, better known as KAWS, will be happy to know that on Wednesday, the 12th of August, Pace Prints in NYC will be releasing his newest screen print –You Should Know I Know. Coming up on September 9th, the Newcomb Art Museum of Tulane will be hosting Shared Space : KAWS, Karl Wirsun, Tomoo Gokita.
