Maus Malaga project recently added a new piece to their collection of public artworks and murals. Last week, Aryz visited the city to paint a large mural on the seven story wall of a local Bahia Malaga hotel in the SOHO art district of the city. James Reka recently finished his largest mural ever at 18 Rue Regnault in the Arrondissement des Gobelins in Paris. Working five long days on a cherry picker, the Berlin-based artist spent some 250 liters of paint for this massive piece. Covering a 30 meters high facade of a 11 storey residential brick wall building, the Australian-born artist painted a recognizable colorful piece. By putting together abstract, organic looking shapes, he was able to create this figurative image that mirrors the work presented at his recent solo show in Milan (covered). […]

The 5th show on Søren Solkær‘s Surface world tour opened on June 12th at Øksnehallen in central Copenhagen. The exhibition itself features 122 portraits of some of world’s most famous street artists, who were all featured in his recent book Surface (covered). In the middle of last Fall, Swoon (interviewed) was tapped as the next artist to hit the iconic Bowery & Houston mural location. We caught her working day and night (here) to get her visual language up for New Yorkers to enjoy. Utilizing her well known hand-painted paper cuts and wheatpaste collages, Swoon & her team created a beautiful mural that captured the layers of the city and its urban inhabitants. Streets: Remi Rough & Nawer (Poland)

We recently came across the Traffic Design Festival currently underway in Gdynia, Poland – in particular the wall that kicked off the street art event jammed out over a few days by Krakow based Nawer and Remi Rough, from London. The huge mural collaboration between the pair works well, with the architectural emphasis of the dividing lines created by Nawer sitting comfortably alongside Rough’s bold slabs of colour.
