Showing: Slinkachu @ The Museum of Fine Arts (Ghent, Belgium)

Currently at the The Museum of Fine Arts in Ghent, Belgium, Slinkachu has some works on view as part of a new group show Manufactories of Caring Space-Time. Not only does the UK-based artist have his signature miniatures on view that are part of the museum’s permanent collection inside but also has some installations outdoors as is his practice. Over the weekend, the Mesa Contemporary Arts Museum in Arizona hosted the opening of Flourish, a group show curated by Thinkspace Gallery. Over 100 artists contributed to the exhibition but the standouts for us were the murals from Esao Andrews and Nosego as well as a sweet hanging installation from Felipe Pantone. Previews: KAWS – “FAR FAR DOWN” @ Contemporary Art Museum St. Louis

Today at the Contemporary Art Museum St. Louis, KAWS will be continuing his bevy of museum exhibitions with a new showing entitled FAR FAR DOWN. The Brooklyn-based artist has prepared a mural of his snoopy inspired black & white abstractions on CAM’s 60-foot long Project Wall, with the the work serving as a backdrop for three new paintings. Last month, the Fort Wayne Museum of Art (in association with Thinkspace Gallery) hosted the opening of Robert Williams’ Midwestern debut. The Fort Wayne Museum of Art (in association with Thinkspace Gallery) will be presenting Robert Williams’ SLANG Aesthetics! starting on April 22nd. Although there will be new works, the comprehensive exhibition follows similar showings in Los Angeles (covered), Sonoma County, and Santa Fe that also includes drawings and a series of large-scale sculptures and of course oil paintings. On the 22nd of February, Urban Nation Museum for Urban Contemporary Art in Berlin hosted a Secret Dinner event for friends, supporters, contributors and artists participating in their ongoing programs. Around 100 guests from around the globe attended the event organized by the museum director Yasha Young and Berliner Leben, a non-profit foundation that initiated the UN project in 2013. POW! WOW! Hawaii ’17 / Showing: Exploring The New Contemporary Movement” @ Honolulu Museum of Art School

Showing in associated POW! WOW! Hawaii through the tomorrow at the Honolulu Museum of Art School is the 4th annual Exploring The New Contemporary Movement group exhibition (see 2016 & 2015 & 2014) curated by Thinkspace. Artists were asked to contribute 12 x 12″ pieces leading to a visually conforming display of works. Rounding things out was a showcase for Shok-1 (seen below) and a Homer Simpson x Banksy parody installation by Oak Oak (seen above).
